Frequently Asked Questions at Lake Tawakoni Guide Service

What should I bring?

You should bring sunscreen, a raincoat or jacket (if needed), cooler with beverages, snacks, sunglasses, camera, and a fishing license. I do have life jackets that your kids can wear, but I can’t guarantee it will fit them snug. If you have one that fits your child I would recommend you bring it.

If you have a mp3 player we can plug it into the boat or you can bring a wireless speaker if you have one. Please don't forget to bring your fishing license!

What if we have more than 4 people in our group?

I offer tours for up to 8-10 people max. The first three people are included in the rate of $375 and each additional person is $125 for up to five hours of fishing or until we reach our limit of 25 fish per person.

Is there any lodging near by?

Yes! You can contact Anchor Inn Marina to book a stay in one of their cabins or motel rooms. You can find more information here:

Is there a place to camp or park my RV?

Yes! Anchor Inn Marina or Cedar Cove Landing is a great spot if you want to camp out or bring your RV. The site includes water and electricity. If you have a boat you can pull it right up by your camp site. Camp Fire's are allowed, but bring your own wood. Call Sara at (903) 447-2169 to reserve a spot as they can fill up fast on the weekends.

What if we don't catch any fish on our tour?

I can’t control the weather or how the fish bite... but if you don't catch a good amount of fish during our trip, your next trip is FREE!

What if there is expected bad weather for the day of our tour?

I will call you a couple of days before your tour if there is any major weather warnings that would make it unsafe to go out onto the water. We will reschedule your tour to a day there is no safety concern.
